I need camcorder help ?

Forget the HDD cameras they do not like vibration, or jolts. Sound is always a problem with camcorders, your best be is to get a camera with an external mic plug, you can then select one that will help to reduce the engines noise.

Still the best format is mini-dv, its robust (will take knock and bumps within reason) picture quality will be good you can choose HD models.

    Good luck

Ignore the previous answer, I have fitted my Everio (JVC) to a scrambler motorbike & the results were very good,It has built in drop protection & anti shake so it should be no problem for riding etc.also, it has a “Wind cut” facility that reduces wind noise so I recommend that you go for one of these. By the way, it’s a hard drive camera & I’ve had it for about 5 years with no problems whatsoever.
